this was probably the single best vacation i've ever taken. all of my hosts -frank, tracey, jan, rudi- were fabulous, and i felt like i got to see a good sampling of the whole country (including belgium!!) ;) i felt like i also made some really great friends... i actually cried as i was boarding the plane; i felt so at home in holland that i felt like i really was.

there are several little details about holland that i probably forgot to mention through this little travel diary of mine... things like how the dutch love their potatoes, the excellent public transporation (buses, trains, trams), cable tv *and* radio, houses with huge, curtain-less windows, and much much more. i really miss the netherlands, and would be thrilled to talk more about my trip; if you'd like to humor me, feel free to send me email.
